The new missio truck with the exhibition “One World. No slavery.” is on its way across Germany.
There, visitors have the opportunity to view the free exhibition and find out exactly what modern slavery is, which affects more than 50 million people today.
The missio truck offers a 25-minute tour through five themed multimedia rooms, guided by the virtual companion character “Chris”.
Groups of three people can interactively explore the depressing reality of modern slavery in different contexts – on tea plantations in India, in German meat factories or even on cruise ships.
It becomes clear what modern slavery has to do with our lives in Germany.
“The missio truck not only makes it possible to experience the dramatic everyday lives of people who now live in slave-like conditions and thus sensitizes visitors to the topic. At the same time, it also shows ways in which each and every one of us can make a contribution to a fairer world,” explains missio President Pastor Dirk Bingener.
The truck is designed to be barrier-free for people with disabilities.
